Welcome! Karibu!

This blog ("web log") is compiled by Sister Patrice Colletti, SDS to share the stories of our four Sisters who sojourn in Tanzania this summer, June- July 2011. The information below is from their emails; we've edited it for clarity.

Blogs typically go in "reverse chronological order", with the most RECENT posting at the top. So, as you read along, you're reading "backwards" in time, with the most recently received and posted information first.

You can also receive these postings by email! This is an option you can select, but isn't required. Enter your email address where it says FOLLOW THIS BLOG BY EMAIL to set up your email to automatically get a copy of the posting each time a new one goes up. Then, you can read it on your email. You are always welcome to come here to read it as well!

Questions on how this works? Please, contact S. Patrice Colletti at patricecolletti@sbcglobal.net.

6/30/11 From S. Ellen and Jeanette

Dear Sisters:
This is what we wrote last week (6/26/ and 6/27)  but apparently it did not get sent. We are at Lupaso until July 6, 2011 and do not have internet access. Sr. Rosemary is going to Masasi early tomorrow morning and we are giving her the flash drive. If you are reading this she was successful in giving it to Sr. Virginia or Barbara to post. Sr. Jeanette has tried to write up a short explanation for the pictures.

6/26/11 – Sunday night in Morogo concluded with a party.
Pictured is Margaret Scola with Sr. Bernarde and school of education students.

6/27/11 – On Monday afternoon (6/27/11) we arrived in Dar es Salaam after a three hour ride on the public bus with Fr. Michael Tesha. Sr. Charity, a 1st year philosophy student at Jordan University College, showed us around the nursery school/kindergarten that our sisters operate in Dar. Sr. Charity is helping out during her school break. Other pictures include the children washing their hands during recess and on the playground.
